Common Ground is a group of students, grade 7-12 (plus some older people as leaders) who are seeking God. We come from towns and schools all around the greater Watertown area, we come from different backgrounds and families, and we like different things. Our "common ground" is our interest in this whole God thing. That's what makes Common Ground so great! It is designed to allow you to be yourself and be comfortable, so you can focus in on loving God and others, growing in Christ, and serving the world.

"My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you've been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You're deeply rooted in him. You're well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. School's out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving." (Colossians 2:6-7)

LOVE

When someone asked Jesus what the most important commandment was, his response was simple: Love God and love people.   Everything else we do (or don't do) falls under those categories.  The very first thing we need as human beings is to experience and accept God's love, and then we can love God back as well as learning to love His creation (people)!

We offer youth group opportunities for both sites to help you start on this journey of love with God and others!

 GROW

Our next goal is to help you grow in Christ.

Grow Groups happen on Sunday mornings at both sites. Check the list of available groups to find one that works for you. We want to help you go deep with God and learn to trust him more all the time.  If you're looking for the next step in your relationship with God, this is it!

SERVE

Finally, we want to give you opportunities to serve God and others--the natural next step as you start to love God and grow deeper.

Serving those around us is an awesome way not only to share Christ, but to recharge our own spiritual batteries.  Trust us, once you help repair a home on a mission project or sing with kids at Vacation Bible School or stack firewood for someone who is too ill to do it, God will do amazing things in your own life too!
